Fabregas 13/8 To Leave Emirates

Betting Press Staff - 25 Jun 2009

Sky Bet has lengthened Cesc Fabregas' odds of starting next season at Arsenal to 4/9 (from 1/4) following his admission that he is frustrated by the 'impotence' of the Gunners.

Arsenal’s failure to win any silverware since lifting the FA Cup in 2005 has disappointed Fabregas and the midfielder is now 13/8 to leave the club during the summer transfer window, having hinted at a possible move to Real Madrid.

Sky Bet's Helen Jacob said: "Fabregas stopped short of saying he wanted to leave Arsenal but his future doesn’t look as clear-cut as last month, when we took several chunky bets at 1/3 on him seeing in the new season at the Emirates."

Arsenal are 4/11 to end next season potless and 6/4 to finish outside the top four.  Manchester City, who look poised to bolster their squad with Carlos Tevez and possibly Samuel Eto’o, are 5/2 with Sky Bet to penetrate the top four next season.
