The Power is 1/50 to beat Colin Monk (12/1) in the first round of darts' first ever £1 million tournament, which starts on December 18th.
Sky Bet’s darts betting spokesman Craig Ibbotson said: “Taylor looks to have the draw of all draws, with his first real test not likely to come until the quarter-finals against likely opponents Adrian Lewis or Jelle Klaasen.”
Victory at Alexandra Place would end a spectacular season for Taylor, who has won all the major televised ranking tournaments this year. He was a 33/1 chance with Sky Bet to achieve the clean sweep at the start of the year, odds that Taylor aficionados snapped up in their droves.
Sky Bet’s Craig Ibbotson continued: “We have huge liabilities on Taylor winning all the major televised ranking events and after today’s draw, we have all but resigned ourselves to paying out.”
