Brit Awards 2010 odds: Punters prefer JLS to Cheryl Cole

Former X Factor rivals have flip-flopped as favourites for Best British Single

Voting has now closed on the Best British Single at this year's Brit Awards and punters are hoping JLS have attracted more support than Cheryl Cole in this category.

Girls Aloud star Cheryl made a stunning debut as a solo act with Fight For This Love and that track was originally installed favourite to get the nod on February 16.

The X Factor judge got the better of JLS in 2008 when her act Alexander Burke beat the boy-band into second place on that show, but many believe the lads will gain revenge here.

Following strong support, they are now 5/4 market leaders with Coral to follow up success at the MOBO Awards with another gong for Beat Again, with Cheryl available at 2/1 with Boylesports.

Florence and the Machine have been backed as if defeat is out of the question in the Best British Album section and are now 1/3 with Boylesports to score with Lungs.

Kasabian are 4/7 with the Irish firm to pick up Best Group, with Muse rated a 7/4 chance and JLS next best at 13/2.

Lily Allen is a red-hot 4/11 favourite for Best Female Solo Artist, while Dizzee Rascal is almost as short at 4/9 to take the Male equivalent.

The Best International Album category is thought to be a match between Lady Gaga (The Fame) at 4/7 and Black Eyed Peas (The END) on 7/4.

Florence and the Machine are 6/5 to take the British Breakthrough Act award, with JLS 11/10, La Roux 4/1, Pixie Lott 9/1 and Friendly Fires 12/1.

Michael Jackson can be backed at 11/10 to win the Brits Performance of 30 Years slot with Earth Song, with Take That 6/4 for their tribute to The Beatles.
