Portsmouth to make changes for Sunderland clash

Manager Avram Grant is expected recall Aruna Dindane and Hassan Yebda back into the Portsmouth (11/8 with Betfred to take the three points) team to face Sunderland (2/1) in Tuesday’s crunch clash at Fratton Park.

Bottom-club Pompey (1/14 to be relegated) are currently seven points from safety following a crushing 5-0 defeat at Manchester United at the weekend and many pundits feel the south-coast outfit after doomed for the drop.

Both Dindane and Yebda were left out for Saturday’s trip to Old Trafford but the key duo are tipped to return against the Black Cats, who have gone 11 games without a victory.

Tuesday’s match is the start of a crucial four match spell for Pompey, who face local rivals Southampton in the FA Cup at the weekend and then league games against Stoke and Burnley.

On Pompey’s survival hopes, Grant told the club’s website: "We are not playing worse than the sides in mid-table but they’re taking points and we’re not. We need to continue with the good performances but also add some points."
