Tiger Woods To Miss US Masters ?

Neil Roarty - 16 Dec 2009

Tiger Woods has been cut from 6/4, in to 11/10 by Coral, to miss the first major of 2009, the US Masters, after the firm were inundated on bets on the four times Champion’s self-imposed break extending beyond the event tees off in April.

Spokesman for the Barking firm, Gary Burton, said:

"We, along with most golf fans, expected a break of a few weeks, but with the shrewd money we saw today, it looks like his return could be months away, if at all,"

Coral offer 4/6 that Woods plays Augusta, but the firm have also cut the odds that the fourteen time major winner gives up golf completely by the end of 2010 from 20/1 to 16/1.

That seems very unlikely, and fans of Woods, who believe his current personal problems are simply a blip in his quest to be the best golfer of all-time, can back the Tiger at 2/9 to break Jack Nicklaus’ record of eighteen major titles
