Stuart Kittow has his runners in good form of late and Miss Nightshade should go very well, though she may have to give best to REAL TREASURE, who is potentially open to more improvement.

The Kim Bailey-trained selection ran with credit when making the frame in a couple of bumpers before scoring on her debut over hurdles in maiden company. Although not a red-hot race that was still a very good effort in the context of this contest and it was also here, so there is invaluable course form to her name. With the promise of more to come she gets the nod. Miss Nightshade won a Newton Abbot bumper last spring, but she has had a few jumping issues since switching to timber. Even so, she got it right at Bangor last time for a comfortable win and a clear round here makes her very dangerous. Manele Bay has been brought along patiently and has presumably had some problems. Her two bumper runs have shown promise and she could go well on this, her introduction to hurdling. Both Ease And Grace and Time To Think would be interesting if supported, though preference is for Real Treasure.

SALONTYRE stands out at the weights here and gets the vote ahead of Hareem, The Disengager and Alternator.

The last-named will appreciate the slight drop in trip here after running very well for a long way behind Lady Bling Bling at Kempton last month. The winner has come out and repeated the dose, strengthening that form, and it is possible that the eight-year-old may still have a little bit more improving to do so he is respected. The Disengager finished closer to the winner in that same race, showing his best form to date in the process. He will probably do better over fences, though is not discounted today. Hareem sports a first-time visor today and can go well, though looks a bit high in the weights, while French Saulaie would have decent claims if able to produce his best form. The selection, however, is Salontyre. John Llewellyn has his string in good form and this four-year-old gets the age allowance, plus a further 7lbs off his back through his pilot, while he acts on the ground, should stay this far, and is well clear at the weights. We think those are the ingredients in a recipe for success.

Plum Pudding is in the form of his life, but he has now gone up 18lbs for back-to-back Leicester wins and today we will take him on with TEEMING RAIN, who is beginning to look well handicapped again.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained selection won this race last year, so course and distance form is a positive, as is the cut in the ground. Admittedly, he has not had the best of times in the intervening months, but he did show up well at Bangor over another marathon trip last month and he is now 2lbs below last year's winning mark, so he makes most appeal. It was a bit early in the piece to say that Newbay Bob would not have won at Plumpton last time, before he unshipped his pilot, but the impression he gave was that he would have been held and he may have enjoyed his peak for the season. By George is likely to interest plenty of each-way players given his profile of making the frame more often than not, though he has to prove he will get home over a much longer trip than he has previously encountered. Over The Creek is very well treated on his best form, despite topweight, and with first-time blinkers market support would be very interesting. Present M'Lord goes well here but will have to improve to win from this mark, while Simon Burrough does well with those he runs over these extreme trips and Lavenoak Lad should be no back number even accounting for his 8lb rise for winning last time. A fascinating contest where Teeming Rain is just preferred to repeat last year's success.

A potentially trappy contest with four of the half dozen runners officially rated within a few pounds of each other and we will just side with AYEMDEE to have the edge with Dancing Mist perhaps next best.

The selection is another Jonjo O'Neill inmate and ran up a hat-trick in November and December before unseating here last time. Cut in the ground and this trip suit the seven-year-old, while Richie McLernon's 3lb claim is another plus and we will take him to return to winning ways. Dancing Mist is another who failed to complete last time when tried here over an extreme trip. The drop back to three miles will surely help him show more, and he has course form here on good to soft so he is much respected. King Jack was a soft ground Huntingdon winner last time but his problem appears to be the trip, as he has yet to prove that he stays this far. Reblis won't mind the distance and he has some solid, if unspectacular form, that at the very least demands respect in a race of this nature. Although not dismissed out of hand, the Robert & Sally Alner-trained pair of runners look less appealing than most and Ayemdee is the suggestion here.

An interesting novices' contest where staying will very much be the name of the game and BESCOT SPRINGS is the suggestion, while The Ferbane Man and Kiribati King are others with claims.

Philip Hobbs has his string in very good form, fuelling confidence in the selection. This lightly-raced five-year-old is open to a fair bit of improvement now tried over this far, and his pedigree suggests that trip and ground should be ideal, so we will give him the nod. The Ferbane Man looks the pick of the Tim Vaughan-trained pair. He won an Irish point this time last year and acts with cut in the ground. He has already shown some ability in two starts for his trainer, and now returned to three miles for the first time since those point-to-points, he should go very well. Charlie Mann's Kiribati King is rated in the 70s on the Flat, where he stays two miles. His introduction to hurdles at Kempton looked to be nothing more than a pipe-opener and now stepped up to this trip and with the cobwebs blown off after a break, he can go very well. King Billy is respected given the record of his trainer here, and it will be interesting to see how he goes on over this trip, while Little Al has the ability to make them all go but has a bit to prove after two poor runs. Bescot Springs is the one for us.

Not a race to get heavily involved with and one where we will chance SILVER SISTER to land the prize, with French Leave a leading player and Charlotte Street another to consider.

The last-named showed decent form in the context of this race when runner-up at Folkestone on heavy ground a couple of starts back, but now has a bit to prove after failing to complete over a longer trip last time. Consistency is not his strong suit and we will take him on. French Leave took a novices' handicap contest here over slightly further in December, but has been unable to cope with the subsequent rise in the weights. The assessor is beginning to ease off now and he can get involved. Carrig An Uisce was a shade disappointing last time when sent off favourite, having scored at Hereford prior to that. He may come back but a 4lb higher mark won't help and we'll oppose. Tarabela has the ability to go close, though this marked drop in trip makes her worth taking on and we will do so with Silver Sister. Jimmy Frost's mare goes well on soft ground and should be suited by this stiff test over this trip. She goes well when fresh and should be a sporting price after failing to complete last time, and we will suggest her to small stakes.
