The quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup get underway tomorrow and Sky Bet are offering a host of rugby betting markets.
Munster and Toulouse currently head the Heineken Cup outright betting at 3/1 with defending champions Leinster 9/2 (13/2 Biarritz, 7/1 Clermont, 9/1 Stade Francais, 10/1 Ospreys and 20/1 Northampton). It’s 6/5 for Munster to make the final at the Stade de France and 4/1 that Munster and Toulouse contest the final.
England remain the most successful nation in the history of the Heineken Cup with six wins but having only Northampton left in the competition, who play Munster, it’s 20/1 for an English winner. It’s 4/6 for one of the four French teams left in the competition to lift the trophy and 11/8 either of the Irish sides, Munster or Leinster go on to Heineken Cup glory.
Sky Bet’s rugby union betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: “The 11/8 for an Irish side to lift the trophy looks an attractive price with both Munster and Leinster looking solid favourites to progress through to the semi-finals.”
