ATP World Tour Finals 2009 Betting tips

Betting Press Staff - 20 Nov 2009

Federer, Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have had their price shorten a bit.

The ATP World Tour Finals will start on Sunday and currently it is considered a two horse race.  Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have virtually the same odds across the board as they have the confidence of the betting public and sportsbooks.  Here are the best prices that our staff found to win the event:

1.  Roger Federer, +260 (13/5), Boylesports
2.  Novak Djokovic, +275 (11/4), Blue Square
3.  Andy Murray, +480 (24/5), Betfair
4.  Rafael Nadal, +850 (17/2), Boylesports
5.  Nikolay Davydenko, +1400 (14/1), Sportingbet
6.  Juan Martin Del Potro, +1477 (~15/1), Betfair
7.  Robin Soderling, +2500 (25/1), Paddy Power
8.  Fernando Verdasco, +4000 (40/1), Boylesports

Andy Murray's odds have shortened with a lot of sportsbooks  as the tournament approaches its start.  However, his price of +480 (24/5) still has value with Betfair

Federer and Djokovic, while the two favorites, both have prices that do not provide much value as they have likely been pounded lately.

Nadal hasn't beaten anyone in this field in a long time so to expect him to first win enough matches/sets to get through the round robin, then win the semi, and finally win the final might just be asking too much.

Murray looks like the best value pick among the favorites as he has a recent title and stated last week that his wrist wasn't bothering him.
