England evens to top Group C

With England’s must win match against Slovenia in Port Elizabeth only 1 day away, Sky Bet customers are starting to put their faith in Capello’s men by backing them not only to win the match but also top Group C.

England are 1/2 to overcome Slovenia (6/1 Slovenia and 3/1 Draw) and it’s evens that the Three Lions qualify for the knockout stages as group winners.

Sky Bet have seen a surge in bets today for England to top Group C with over 70% of the total bets now placed on the market getting behind Capello’s men to qualify as winners. Just over 20% of bets are for the USA to top Group C (2/1) while the few remaining bets have been on the current leaders Slovenia at 5/2.

Fabio Capello's team are currently third in Group C following draws against USA and Algeria and failure to beat Slovenia would see England’s World Cup campaign come to an end. It’s 13/8 for England not to qualify from Group C.

Sky Bet’s football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: “Nobody wants to see England eliminated from the World Cup so let’s hope that our customers are right and Capello’s men deliver the goods tomorrow afternoon.”
