McDowell 12/1 to win another major in 2010

Following his epic US Open victory Sky Bet have released a number of Graeme McDowell Specials including 12/1 for the Irishman to win one of the remaining two majors in 2010.

He is 33/1 to defend his title at the Congressional Country Club next year and 8/1 to win a major in 2011.

Currently on two European Tour victories this season, McDowell is 6/4 to end the season with exactly three wins. It’s 7/1 for McDowell to record four wins and 33/1 for five or more, which would almost certainly secure him the Race to Dubai, for which he is now the 3/1 favourite.

Having now guaranteed his Ryder Cup spot, the 30-year-old is 6/1 to be top European points scorer and 20/1 to record a maximum five points.

Sky Bet’s golf betting spokesman Andy Thorp said “This could be the spring board to bigger and better things for G Mac, who has always been highly regarded. A lot depends on how he handles all the additional obligations that go with being a major championship winner but after a week or two celebrating, I’m sure he will be getting ready for an assault on The Open Championship and the Race to Dubai”.
